Hole 1, Par 5 - 571 yards
The first at Rathsallagh is a great starting hole. Long from the back tees but short enough from the Yellow's to be reachable in two.
Your drive needs to be long and slightly right of centre as the ground slopes to the left. Ideally you will hit past the tree on the right to give you a chance of getting to the well guarded green in two.
Your second shot, for the longer hitters, needs to be hit slightly right of the green to allow for the slope to guide your ball up onto the first level of the two tiered green.
For the shorter hitters a good second gives you an excellent view of the putting surface from anything under 100 yards out. Avoid the well placed bunker on the left.
Once on this long green you will notice how true and smooth the putting surfaces are, don't allow too much for the slopes and hit the put true.
If you manage to walk off the first with a Par you can walk through the trees to the second smiling.
Our Clubhouse overlooks the 9th, 10th and 18th holes and is the perfect location to watch your partners finish their round from. Excellent food and beverages await you in this fine facility upon your return. Our Golf Shop stocks an excellent selection of clothing, balls and accessories, and Club, Shoe and Buggy and Electric Golf Cart Hire are all available on request.
