The second Par 3 at Rathsallagh is as good as the first and the tee position can make so much difference here. Although a short hole the natural landscape has been used to excellent effect.
There are drainage ditches to the left and right short of the green as well as the bunker guarding the right hand side.
The most daunting feature here though is the slope to the right of the green which has quite long rough and makes a chip shot over the bunker very difficult. The green is also raised up and slopes away on the left into more trees and a the prospect of a difficult second shot.
To summarise, you do not want to be short, left, right, or long !
As usual at Rathsallagh a good shot is rewarded but a bad shot will be punished. The green itself is fairly large and is very receptive. Hit the ball at the flag it will stop quickly and leave you a good chance of a well played par 3.
Our Clubhouse overlooks the 9th, 10th and 18th holes and is the perfect location to watch your partners finish their round from. Excellent food and beverages await you in this fine facility upon your return.
